This project consists of two main goals:

  1. provide the Working Group Star Names of the International Astronomical Union with information on historical and indigenous names for stars, constellations and all sorts of asterisms. Therefore, it also contains information on the 89 globally defined constellation names (for 88 constellations).
  2. embed the traditional Assyriological dictionary "Planetarium Babylonicum".
